I live and work in South Moravia, in the region below Pálava.

Painting became my hobby after my working career ended. The subject of my work is often my native region.  I get inspired by things and events around me and create paintings with different themes.

I paint with oil paints on canvas using the alla prima technique, also using the pastose technique. Most often, however, to achieve a deeper colour and to prolong the durability of the painting, I use the layered technique, which I learned in the studio of the Prague painter, artist and teacher Věra Čermáková.  Most of my paintings are a realistic view of the subject. To a lesser extent I also deal with abstract painting.
